European researchers explored how using laser structuring can alter and improve the properties or performance of metals to boost the functionality of batteries, implants and linear encoders. This project ended successfully in March 2021.
ESCI's role in the project:
ESCI led the communication activities liaising closely with the exploitation leader LASEA. Highlights of this activity were certainly an article and interview with Noble Prize laureate Gérard Mourou, who had received the award in 2018 together with Donna Strickland for their contribution to ultrashort pulse lasers. Another highlight were the final audiovisual productions of the project, which targeted mainly a technical audience and included a virtual visit of the prototype, a final video and the recording of the final conference.
