Algae4IBD is exploiting the health potential of algae to prevent and treat Inflammatory Bowel Diseases (IBD).
Macro and micro algae produce compounds with anti-inflammatory activity. These molecules will be identified, extracted and developed into functional food, food supplements and novel drugs.
ESCI's role in the project:
In charge of the communication and dissemination actions, ESCI is conceiving and implementing a media strategy tailored to Algae4IBD. This includes the creation of a corporate identity, a project website, social media content, informative material (digital and print) and explanatory videos. The goal is to communicate the health benefit of algae and the project results to the different interest groups ranging from patients and medical personnel to scientists and industry.
